Good morning!! Today, we woke up at 5:00 am, when our instructors began to sail us to Isle De Ronde (we did get to go back to sleep). After, we arrived at Isle De Ronde (or as we nicknamed it, King Kong Island, because the jungle was so lush and it was completely deserted). Later, we headed to the dive site Mushroom Rock, where we did our first drift dive (drift dive: a dive were we jump off the boat and get picked up and towed back on). Anyway it was one of the most amazing dives our diving careers because it was so pristine and secluded. After our very successful dive our chefs (Daniel and Paige) made delicious grilled cheese.
Then we all had a little bit of a break where we inflated Francis (our inflatable duck) and swam to our nearby deserted beach. After using our inflatable paddle board and seeing a turtle right off the stern of our boat it was time to prep for another dive. This was drift dive no.2 which felt like diving a forest because the corals in this spot were so big (and so were the fish). We saw tons of sting rays, a shark, and many more amazing sea creatures. Once we all dried off we had a debate on which dive was better.
While some of us went on their third dive of the day where they learned their navigation skills for Advanced Open Water, the other had some time to unwind on the boat. While some of us learned, and played spit some of us took the paddle board to the beach where we did a beach workout. As the day ended our Captin Jhon prepared our third delicious meal of the day (bowl tortillas / burrito bowls), we showered (in the ocean of course) and watched the sun set over the ocean. Then, we all started to get ready for bed. Overall today set the bar pretty high and everyone definitely had an amazing day.
