Donkeys and Town!

Penelope and Elle here, reporting for our last day of camp!
We woke up bright and early around 7 and started making our final breakfast all together. We had a feast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, and fruit. We read a quote for the morning and wrote our letters home to our future selves, and the rest of the group. After we were finished cleaning up breakfast (and our cleaning dance party), we got ready and got in the cars by 9:30 to head over to the donkey sanctuary! We learned about the history of donkeys on Bonaire, and headed into the back of the trucks for a drive through feed. The donkeys swarmed us, of course very grateful for the snacks. We even got to cuddle a fluffy 8 week old donkey! After that, we headed back for lunch (ramen!) and a final swim. After our swim, we got showered and dressed to head into town. We explored local shops and bought some souvenirs before dinner on the water at a pretty restaurant (burgers never tasted better!!). For desert we headed back to our favorite, frequented gelato store for a bittersweet final scoop. It's been an amazing trip and we couldn't be more thankful to have had this experience!
Signing off,
Elle and Penelope
