12 Day Scuba + Sailing Discoveries

Setting Sail to St. Barts

Thursday, June 16, 2022

Location: Ile Fourche
Something we learned today: how to set the sails
Today in one word: sailing

The day started at 5:30-6:00am. The cooks prepared the hashbrowns and eggs. At 6:30am we ate until 7:00am when I explained what the schedule was to the group. 30-ish minutes later group 2 left for cow-pen and finished all confined water skills Group 1 left around 20 minutes later and managed to finish most of the objectives.

After finishing diving we ate burritos and 13:00 and set sail for Ile Fourche. At this time most of the students fell asleep. During this time Joey taught us how to put up both the main and jib sails.

Upon arrival in Ile Fourche we moored to a buoy. An hour later at 18:00 dinner was started. We ate pad thai and then glums and glows. After which around 19:00 we started preparing for sleep and the group all told stories.
